Of course, then I grew up and realized that there were some advantages to actually
LIVING life, instead of just imagining it.  In other words, I discovered boys, or perhaps
I should say boys discovered me! LOL Anyway, I was MUCH too busy for several
years to even think about writing.

But then I found my prince charming, and settled down and started raising my three
little princelings, and the world of make-believe started calling once again.  In my
early twenties I read my first romance, INNOCENT FIRE, by Brenda Joyce, and knew
I'd found my niche.  I wanted to write stories where love conquered all.  I wanted to
write dark, tortured heroes who were saved by the love of a good woman. And so I sat
down with pen in hand, and wrote what I thought was an amazing Civil War Saga.
Sure that I was well on my way to being published, I joined a writer's group so that
others could be suitably impressed and tell me what to do next.  Needless to say, my
great novel was a little less great than I thought.  There were actually things like
plotting and characterization and point of view that must be considered.

Well, twelve years and about a million words later, I've finally got a book in print! It
wasn't easy, but then nothing worth doing ever is. I hope you enjoy reading my work
as much as I've enjoyed writing it.

I also work as a police dispatcher, and I love my day job! Being constantly
surrounded by sexy, heroic men in blue is definitely inspiring! I owe a lot to my friends
at the police department, who have been completely supportive as I pursue my writing
career, even though they obviously aren't my target audience.  LOL

Yes, boys, I do think you'd look good in pirate shirts, and I'd let you be on my
covers if it was up to me!

Love,

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been dwelling
in the land of make-believe, creating characters in
my head and dreaming of happily ever after.
While still in elementary school, I was penning
variations of a story about some kids who were
involved in a plane crash on a desert island. Of
course, the characters were always changing, and
were surprisingly similar to people I knew.  The
cute boys in my class always survived the crash,
and the snotty girls always died terrible fiery
deaths.
